3PIN, a.k.a. Leon, performs as a VJ alongside musicians, dancers and the like. His aim is to reflect a single concept through the synergy of music, visuals and space. Already a musician, he began VJing in 2004, seeking a visual backdrop, which would respond to his music. His use of cycling74’s Jitter software allowed him to develop a very individual style.
Sets for the Dublin clubbing outfit 52funk precluded his many performances as an Alphabet Set member over the last 2 years. 2004 also saw him at the DEAF festival, VJing for the likes of DJ Bone, Juan Atkins.His work in 2005 with iTiSoN (who also performs this weekend), brought sets for Kompakt Records artists Reinhardt Voigt & The Orb at the SFX. 2006 has seen 3PIN juggling his VJing with his band Les Bien, who have been causing quite a stir on the Dublin clubbing scene of late.
He recently set up the video-production company MercuryBoy with fellow VJs Cal-TV (John Callaghan) and Yeager (Tim Duggan). MercuryBoy are currently represented by Toytown Films as a collective producing video-virals and music videos.
