Elemental Began playing with production at about 14 on an old Atari's and Roland keyboards at school ... trying to emulate the sounds of hardcore/jungle at the time, with little success.
He got his first computer when he was 15, enabling him to produce at home, this started his urge to get more equipment. So he started saving for his first sampler, at the tender age of 17 his piggy bank was ready to be raided and another home studio was born. After writing a lot of mad jungle/techno/breakbeat hybrid music, then got more and more focused on DnB.Early in 2005, inspired what he was hearing on London's Rinse FM, the track "SoulFire" was written - and got a massive response. It was immediately signed to Search & Destroy's Destructive Recordings label, and is due for release summer/autumn 2006.
Next up was Deep Under, signed and released by Hotflush Recordings and released with a mellow detroit influenced track entitled "Sparkle".24th February 2006 saw Elemental's first ever "live" appearance at Noir hosted at the Blue Mountain in Bristol. Since then he has played in London (Halo Beatz / Essence of Chi at Herbal) and made a return to Bristol. His live setup consists of a laptop running Ableton Live plus a couple of MIDI controllers. The live set consists of live arrangements and remixes using elements from his studio tracks, plus improvised loops and effects.
