Enda Bates has been performing under the Fairlights moniker for a couple of years. His first release, the Deadweight E.P. was recorded in 2003, and the debut Fairlights album, Scraps, was released on the Alphabet Set label in August 2005. His ongoing Quarterworks series will be released on CD and surround DVD and will consist of a collection ambient electronic music in the style of processed guitar drones and dense, electronic textures. A new album of more rock-orientated music is due for completion in the summer of 2007.
