Friction:Fire is Colm O Cuinneagain and has been making computer based ambient electronic music since the birth of Rebirth, Fruity loops and Acid. He is currently on an extended break from production and live sets, and plans to set up a hardware-based studio somewhere in the Kildare countryside in the next 6 months using various synths, drum machines and outboard gear bought in a 2 week ebay bidding frenzy. Colms music can be described as the sounds of an insomniac dreamer. Having mostly made tunes in bed at 4am with a powerbook, big headphones and a warm lap, he hopes his tunes convey this.
